This is the first time that Argentina will be playing in their first world cup semi-final match. The pumas are labeled as underdogs as they have never beaten South Africa in the previous 11 tests. However, the Argentina team is not letting this to affect their morale. In fact, Pumas fullback Corleto feels that the South Africans are too arrogant and this could lead them to their downfall.

However, the springboks are generally better than their opponents. South Africa's backs are as strong as the forwards. They are physically superior to anyone on the field and they literally "break bones". Going by history and stats, Argentina seems to be a weaker team but in the world cup, everything can change. Just look at the match between France and New Zealand; everyone was shocked and seems that the all blacks are still licking their wounds. Before the match, it was almost guranteed that New Zealand will go all the way to the finals.

The pumas strength in kicking a lot of high balls which can literally control the game, and their never say die attitude defense are assets that can help to fight against the South Africans. In fact, Argentina could very well be the team with the best defensive record in the entire tournament. This is definitely a threat for the Springboks and they must be ready to slip through the defense and ready for all those kicks.

Sports editor Leonard feels that the Argentines may only be able to hold well for the first half, but after 80 minutes, they might not be able to continue their hold. Meanwhile, the Springboks will do anything they could to prevent an upset.

While a fairytale win for Argentina is unlikely to occur, hot favorite South Africa should go straight to the finals and win the rugby world cup 2007 tournament.
